During this summer of 2024, Diego and Pilar, from the Aula Animal educational project, recently visited Colombia, where they had the opportunity to meet other teachers linked to education from respect for animals and visit some educational centers.
They were able to share space at a meeting on anti-speciesist education in Bogotá, where other teachers shared their experiences, including Judy Chaves, Mauricio Tiria, Eduardo Rincón, Mauricio Caballero, Angélica Barreto, and Sandra Lasprilla, among others. With over 50 people in attendance, representatives from Aula Animal shared their experience in classrooms in Spain, as well as the resources available in "Ethics in the Classroom," an educational program developed in collaboration with Aula Animal that offers the opportunity to bring anti-speciesism into the classroom through activities and educational videos.
In addition, during these weeks they were able to give various talks and workshops not only in Bogotá, but also in other educational centers in Barichara and Cartagena.
