On February 9th, the fourth session of the course "Education from respect for animals" took place at the La Pantera Rossa bookstore in Zaragoza, led by philosopher and activist Catia Faria.
More than one hundred people attended the talk. Catia didn't shy away from controversy and addressed topics such as the inconsistency of speciesism within the feminist movement, the inconsistency of sexism within the anti-speciesist movement, intervention in nature to help animals in need, and antinatalism.
This session has helped us to question some of the attitudes we exhibit in our daily lives. But the high attendance at the event has also helped us realize that issues such as feminism and animal rights are matters to which society is paying increasing attention.
