Yesterday, Tuesday, the second session of the course "Education from respect for animals" took place.
In the first part, we analyzed how to convey the message of respect for animals to children and adolescents at different ages, and how to approach situations of animal abuse. Each age is different, but it is common to share positive experiences that highlight our own capacity as individuals to help animals.
In the second part of the course, we were joined by Alberto Cubero, Councilor for Public Services of the Zaragoza City Council, who told us about the progress made in animal protection since he took office as Mayor. All of these initiatives are closely linked to education and awareness, especially among children. Examples include the ban on circuses with animals during the recent Pilar festivities, the removal of animals from the Three Kings Parade and Christmas events, and the prohibition of animal exhibitions at future medieval fairs.
In short, Alberto Cubero explained ZeC's commitment to making Zaragoza an animal-friendly city.
