Zaragoza, February 25, 2014. Dentro del seminario “El respeto a los animales en nuestra sociedad”, ayer fue el turno de César Bona y su proyecto El Cuarto Hocico o, mejor dicho, “de cómo doce niños y un maestro buscaron cambiar el mundo”.
That is precisely the title of the book that César recently presented, where he recounts the development of the project and its key elements so that this idea of respect for animals achieves a multiplying effect on children and teachers around the world.
Throughout the session, César explained how the idea arose, which undoubtedly would not have been possible without the great involvement that he achieved at the time in the CRA of Muel (Zaragoza), from his students.
Motivation, fostering creativity and imagination, and emphasizing the importance of individual actions are some of the fundamental elements in the daily life of the classroom where César works as a teacher. His commendable educational work has earned him and the children involved in the project numerous national and regional awards, such as the Environment Award from the Government of Aragon, an award from the Congress of Deputies for his awareness-raising efforts, and other university awards, including one from renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, who has recognized this wonderful work.
The seed that César and his twelve students planted generates daily examples of help and respect for animals in multiple locations in Spain and Latin America, and there is no doubt that this work will continue to grow.
