Zaragoza, February 1, 2014. Por segunda vez, desde Animal Class hemos vuelto a impartir unas sesiones con internos e internas del centro penitenciario de Zuera y ha sido una buena experiencia, tanto para las personas que han participado como asistentes como para nuestra propia experiencia personal.
There were two talks, aimed at students in the first and third years of ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) for adults and those in the preparation course for the entrance exam to Intermediate Vocational Training. Under the title "The Abilities of Animals," during each session we explained what Aula Animal is, what our project consists of, and from there we discussed how other animals use their abilities, just as we, as animals, also use them.
Their use of language and tools, their cultural manifestations, their altruistic behaviors, etc., have been some of the aspects that have been discussed in a very participatory session where the prisoners have also shared their own knowledge and experiences related to the topic.
Desde Animal Class nos parece interesante extender nuestro ámbito de actuación también a los centros penitenciarios, ya que los valores en los que hacemos hincapié en nuestras charlas están muy relacionados con otras formas de exclusión como puede ser el racismo o el sexismo y, en definitiva, invitamos a una reflexión crítica para generar comportamientos empáticos.
