Tras muchos años de protesta y denuncia, el Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza ha vetado este año cualquier actividad lúdica que conlleve el uso de animales, tanto en la feria navideña como en la cabalgata de la noche de Reyes.
Inaugurated a few days ago, this Christmas the absence of animal suffering in the streets becomes a reality thanks to the contract offered by the City Council, governed by Zaragoza en Común, which expressly prohibited "the use of animals in any type of activity that the successful bidder includes in their proposal."
This new policy for the animals responds to a demand from animal rights movements, which for years have criticized donkey rides in the Plaza del Pilar in Zaragoza, as well as the geese in the parade and other types of animal abuse.
Desde Animal Class nos hemos venido haciendo eco también de esta situación denouncing it in the press y por ello hoy acogemos la noticia con gratitud y felicitamos al Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza por haber sido capaz de dar respuesta a esa petición por parte de movimiento de derechos animales.
