Literature, as a human cultural expression, could not ignore the presence of animals in the environment surrounding writers and readers, and it reflects this presence in its works from different perspectives and with diverse intentions. Thus, from the very beginnings of literary history, literary animals emerged—animals made of words, animals that populate the imagination of an individual or a group, shared with others through the use of language.
Por eso, desde Animal Class queremos dar difusión a este interesante evento: the 1st International Congress “Literary Animals: Animals in Spanish Narrative”, que tendrá lugar en la Universidad de León durante los días 20, 21 y 22 de mayo.
The Congress is aimed at people in the fields of philology, literary genre studies and textual transmission, as well as anyone who may be interested in the content, which includes the following topics, among others:
– La fábula en todas sus manifestaciones.
– Los cuentos de animales.
– Los animales en la literatura infantil y juvenil.
– Tópicos o motivos relacionados con el mundo animal.
– Los animales en la Segunda Parte del Quixote.
El Congreso es presencial pero también se puede realizar una matrícula como asistente on-line para quienes deseen seguir las sesiones en streaming o en diferido. En Animal Class ya nos hemos inscrito : )
