Are you familiar with the daily lives of hundreds of dogs in Moscow? As we've seen in various news reports, every morning different animals from different parts of this vast city travel to the center of Moscow in search of food. At night, they return to the same spot, without a metro map or anyone to ask for directions.
Isn't that a sign of intelligence? We tend to measure intelligence based on how closely each manifestation resembles what humans are capable of. However, there are always abilities where other animals have a significant advantage. Is greater or lesser intelligence then a reason to discriminate against others?
This is a good topic for debate that helps us link it to other types of discrimination.
