This week we had the pleasure of revisiting CEIP Montecanal in Zaragoza for their cultural week. On this occasion, we participated in a talk entitled "Animals: From Fiction to Reality," which was attended by the 6th grade students.
Throughout the activity, we reflected on the vision of different animals conveyed in stories, as well as what we learn about them through literature. However, in a critical and participatory context, the children discussed the differences between what we perceive in fiction and what happens in reality, analyzing situations of disrespectful treatment of animals that we find in our city, Zaragoza.
We are grateful to the teachers at CEIP Montecanal for once again including Aula Animal, especially since the students who participated in the activity had already attended another talk on animal awareness last year. In this regard, we have observed a greater awareness among these children, and we were surprised by how much they remembered from the previous year's talk, so this time we weren't starting from scratch regarding the topic of animals.
