In this case, we took advantage of the 4th year ESO Social Sciences class, the topic dedicated to the Second World War and its consequences, specifically in the section that talks about the UN.
We would begin by defining the term "speciesism" and provide them with a copy of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and another of the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights. They would be asked to read both carefully and underline the ideas that most caught their attention, trying to establish similarities and differences between them.

- Where does the meat we eat come from?
- How do these animals live?
- How are they transported?
- How are they sacrificed?
Finally, the class would be divided into groups of 3 or 4 students. One group would have to find specific examples of human rights violations, and another group would find examples of animal rights violations, providing images, texts, etc. They should properly cite their sources. Each group would present their findings to the class, followed by a discussion.
