Ayer comenzó la V edición el curso “La educación desde el respeto a los animales”, que como cada año realizamos desde Animal Class a través del sindicato de CGT Teaching en Zaragoza.
This year we had about 40 attendees, mainly teachers, as well as other people who, although not teachers, are interested in the issue of animals from an educational point of view in order to achieve greater effectiveness in their messages and campaigns.
The session began with a talk about how to generate empathy in children, how to raise the issue of animal abuse and what resources we can use to ensure that our students acquire values of respect towards other animals.
In addition to these issues, we also analyzed the problems that can arise when we deal with this topic in the classroom, either with the students themselves, or with their families and the rest of the teaching staff at the educational center where we work.
Desde Aula Animal apostamos por un planteamiento en positivo, donde el docente tenga recursos didácticos y alternativas para ofrecer una visión diferente que, en definitiva, lograr desarrollar la empatía hacia los animales.
La sesión acabó con la intervención de nuestra compañera Pilar Trujillo, maestra con una larga trayectoria en la escuela pública e implicada históricamente en los diferentes movimientos sociales de Aragón.
With the artistry that usually characterizes Pilar, she told us a story inviting reflection on the treatment that animals receive in society, with a hopeful ending where she encouraged all the teachers to continue fighting for a fairer and more supportive school.
