Zaragoza, February 20, 2014. Ayer arrancó el seminario “El respeto a los animales en nuestra sociedad”, y fuimos precisamente las personas que integramos Animal Class las encargadas de iniciar estas jornadas.
Under the title, "Education from respect for animals", we present what our educational project consists of, what our work is and how we carry out our task on a daily basis, both in the classrooms and in other areas of action.
With the classroom nearly full, we analyzed the topic from different perspectives throughout the talk. On the one hand, we considered how we develop our empathy from an early age and what factors influence us to gradually lose it, influenced by various social agents—family, school, media—to the point of committing true atrocities against animals.
Desde Animal Class consideramos que como docentes o personas vinculadas a la educación, es necesario tener claro qué ideas se deben transmitir, manteniendo una coherencia y fomentando la igualdad hacia todos los animales, de forma que estas ideas se conviertan en conductas que eviten el sufrimiento de los demás animales y, al mismo tiempo, contribuyan al desarrollo y crecimiento de personas más justas.
It was a real pleasure to share our experience with everyone who participated in the session and to be able to convey our ideas and our way of working on a daily basis.
