Esta semana hemos realizado una sesión de formación con el IES Espiñeira de Boiro (A Coruña) donde un grupo de docentes ha iniciado un proyecto de elaboración de materiales didácticos relacionados con el respeto y la protección de los animales.
This is a working group framed within a training plan for centers, so that these colleagues meet periodically to develop resources that will then be available on an educational blog.
Desde Animal Class felicitamos a estos compañer@s por la iniciativa, ya que -según sabemos- es el primer grupo de trabajo que de forma oficial está trabajando el tema en el marco educativo.
For over an hour, we shared our experience in anti-speciesist education via Skype, reviewing the different aspects related to the treatment of animals in our society, the cultural and social nature of these behaviors, and how our students learn them. We also reflected on how to unlearn these patterns and foster an education that transcends speciesism.
