The Professional Association of Dietitians-Nutritionists of Aragon (CPDNA) is the organization that brings together the leading nutrition experts in our autonomous community. Aula Animal has contacted them to learn their position on our initiative to include a vegan menu option in the public school cafeterias of Aragon.
In response to our request, they have written a letter to the Minister of Education which concludes as follows:
"Therefore, the CPDNA considers that providing a vegetarian option (including strict vegetarians or vegans) in school cafeterias is in accordance with current scientific evidence, and that, properly planned by dietitians-nutritionists, they can ensure a correct energy and nutritional intake, so that the needs of children are met."
